Leaked ad for Google's new Chromebook Pixel - the highest res laptop ever made

A NEW advert for Google’s long-awaited Chromebook Pixel laptop has just been “leaked” online.

It’s the first proper look we’ve had at the slick £1,049 device - the first computer the search giant has ever made itself.
It’s a touchscreen which boasts the highest resolution screen ever put in a laptop at 239 pixels per inch.
Google chiefs hope the Pixel - which goes on sale in the UK in April - will do battle with Apple’s popular Macbooks, famous for their “Retina” displays which measure 220ppi.
The new laptop - which is based around the idea of working online via Google Docs, email and Chrome - will also come with a terabyte of Cloud storage.
Up until now, Google’s Chromebook models have been made by firms such as Samsung, Acer and HP but now they’ve taken the design in-house.
Google’sVP of Engineering Linus Upson said on the firm’s blog that the Pixel “brings together the best in hardware, software and design to inspire the next generation of Chromebooks.”
He added: “We set out to rethink all elements of a computer in order to design the best laptop possible, especially for power users who have fully embraced the cloud.
“The philosophy of Chrome has always been to minimize the “chrome” of the browser. In much the same way, the goal of the Pixel is to make the pixels disappear, giving people the best web experience.”
