Governor Godswill Akpabio of Akwa Ibom State Admits To Rigging Senatorial Primary Election On Live TV.

Governor Godswill Akpabio of Akwa Ibom State is at it again. After the multiple gifts scandals involving state funds, the governor admitted falsifying a senatorial election result and personally replacing the winner with his preferred candidate on live television.

The governor made this confession while addressing the visiting delegates on his government's achievements and seeking to impress his sense of fairness on the audience, he said, "I used my hand to strick out the name of the person who won before and i said it's important for me to give that region a senator in 2007 and i produced senator Aloysius Etok for you..."

Mr Etok is currently the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Establishment and public Service matters.

This confession happened during the federal government's contentious "Good Governance Tour" in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria.
