Governor of Rivers state and Chairman of Nigerian Governor's Forum, Gov. Rotimi Amechi has been re-elected as the Chairman of the Forum. Gov. Amechi has had a lot of Issues since he became the Chairman of the forum, An illegal Election was conducted some weeks back that produced Gov Godswill Akpabio of Akwa Ibom as the Chairman but we were later told that the election was for the Chairman of South South Governors Forum.
Governor Amechi Defeated Gov Jonah Jang of Plateau state by 19-16 votes in an election that was conducted at the River's state Governors lodge in Abuja. Governors from different states voted in the keenly contested election. Congrats to the Governor.
